Join fellow alums and friends to learn about “Penn State Inventions” presented by Jackie Esposito, Archivist Emeritus on Sunday, March 22 from 2:45- 4pm at Centre LifeLink EMS 25, Puddintown Road, State College, PA. Penn State Alumni Association reports that Ms. Esposito had been actively engaged in the management and preservation of University archival collections for over thirty years. She began serving Penn State in the fall of 1986 as a project archivist and was promoted through the ranks to full librarian. Additionally, she oversaw an extensive oral history project for the University Libraries, entitled Library Legacies .As the former university archivist, she managed permanent University records, the Sports Archives, Fred Waring’s America and both born-digital and electronic records. She is the author of numerous articles on archives management, higher education, and record issues, as well as co-author of The Nittany Lion :An Illustrated Tale. She was the keeper of Penn State archives- home to over 200,000 printed volumes, 25 million records and manuscripts and another million maps, prints and audio-visual items. The Chapter will be giving a donation to Center for Women’s Resources in recognition of Ms. Esposito’s presentation. $5.00 per participant will be collected at the door with all proceeds going to Women’s Resource Center.
