Come tour the Mansion and then enjoy a pour of your favorite beverage! Join the Chapter in a private tour of the Boal Mansion Museum and Columbus Chapel in Boalsburg on Tuesday, May 14 from 3:30-5:00 pm, followed by our May Happy Hour next door at Boal City Brewing from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

The Boal Estate has been in the Boal family for eight generations and tells the story of America as seen through one family. The original buildings, and furnishings of the family are still there.  For over 200 years, the Boal family has helped shape its community, including these present-day landmarks: the historic village of Boalsburg (1808) -the birthplace of Memorial Day (1864), Penn State University (1855), the 28th Division Shrine and Pennsylvania Military Museum (1919), and the Boal Barn Playhouse (1959) just to name a few!

Following our tour, we will walk next door to Boal City Brewing for our happy hour. This popular craft brewery and taproom is situated on a beautiful piece of property alongside the Rothrock State Forest. The Brewery serves craft beers, cider, wine, mixed drinks and non-alcoholic beverages. A food truck will be on property, selling a variety of great food options.  Food and beverage are on your own this month.
